Forgive me reader, all the lies
     contained within this text,
and the faults and incongruities
     which will confront you next,
for though I have not yet discerned
     where true and false divide,
it's imperative my pencil keep
     my paper occupied,
so when my mind is old enough
     to penetrate the truth,
I can tell it with the poetry
     acquired in my youth.
